I have noticed that most leagues are having an off day on August 20. Is MFN down for maintenance? Do we get Sundays off? Is there a way to know when off days are coming?

We get Sundays off.

Is that a religious thing, or a gameday thing?

While JDB usually takes Sundays off of the boards as well, and I completely respect him for it, I'm pretty sure that the Sunday off day is also a server maintenance day as well.

actually i dont think it is a religious thing it has always been like this since i been on the site where the off day is sunday and i have been on here for a year.

I believe that if you have to be on here 7 days a week you are going to get burned out quickly, having that day off gives you a break so you can come back on Monday with a fresher perspective and not feel a constant grind to -have- to be online every day. Plus, it gives you the chance to watch real football during the season.

Also, having that built-in day off gives me a chance to do any larger maintenance tasks that may take the site down for a short time in a scheduled manner without disrupting something like a draft or sim.
