I am able to assign a number to a player that is already taken by another player.

well I could be wrong about this but you normally can assign a number to player that is already use at times when 1 of those players is offense awhile other one is on defense.

Like for example if you wanted to give jersey # 20 to a defense player you could also give that number to a offense player.

Now if it is a number that a offense player and defense player both cant have then I would say YES it is a Bug.

College allows offense/defense players the same number. Pro football is 1 number per player.

well then I guess it was thinking of college not PRO and that cancels out my theory of why it happened.
