Drafting O-line

So I've seen in the forums that offensive linemen, even the best ones at pass block and strength, consistently get blown by with fast or even average defensive ends. I'm wondering since my draft is coming up if it's worth taking an offensive lineman in the first round if they will be mediocre no matter how good the ratings will be. There are a couple good ones coming in my draft so I wanted to know if I should consider them or target something else. Thanks

My advice is to pass on first round olinemen. While the "elites" won't be there in teh second, better than average ones fall to the second and third rounds.

Plus, as many have said, an elite o-line just isn't worth it. Having good ones can help, especially in the running game, but they're just not as impactful as taking skill positions early.

If you have a good offensive line you will still do better than a poor one, the biggest issue in the current version of the game is that the better offensive lines are just not quite good enough. That said, the next update to the engine has fixes for this already in testing. So it's up to you if you want to lower the priority of the OL in the next season or two, but I'd still go for as well-rounded of a roster as you can in any case.

So here is a strategy question... Will current OLs be improved with the update or would it be better served to wait until the update to begin drafting the better line?

If they improve I may as well draft the o-line considering my league has some strong low volatile oline this year

Also is there any anticipated time scheduled for the update?

My thinking is it might be a good thing to at least consider a good Olineman now if he will improve with the update.

Thats what I'm beginning to think as well. Off topic question but are seasons around 3 months long in real life? (Including offseason)

I'm starting 4 pretty good rookies on my offensive line in MFN24, it'll be interesting to see what a possible upgrade to the effectiveness of offensive linemen does for a team that has already been one of the best in the league for 3+ seasons now.
