TEMPLARS WIN, TEMPLARS WIN!!!!!

Salt Lake headed back East to the "Land of 12 albums for a Penny" , Terre Haute, Indiana and after a visit to the vacant Colombia House Warehouse the team stopped at one other attraction of the town.
"I wanted to inspire the team, and it must have done something" said owner Sid Allison of the visit to the statue of NBA Legend Larry Bird. "I don't even know if they know who Bird is" But after a few moments and some reflections the team headed to the Terror Dome to play the Terror.
They escaped alive and with a 23-10 win.
Its good to get that 1st one of the season, nothing is easy in here as teams play competitively
even in pre season.

The only bad part was Rookie QB Espinal threw 2 interceptions and one was for a TD. McCrea had a better go at it throwing for 80 yards and a TD.

The Templars finish out the pre season against LA The Red Dragon tomorrow night and must make ready for the season opener later this week.

I'm happy you were able to see that much. I'll be the freeways here were like a ghost town to you being from LA. Some Mormons that arrived in Salt Lake were told to go South and they did. All the way to San Diego. They started Las Vegas.

It's understandable not being able to meet up. Everyone is busy and we really don't know each other.

I'm going to put this out there but any of you guys in this Moguls League come through Salt Lake City and have time, let me know and i'll give you my number. I would like to say hi.

Spoiler alert: I'm not actually from Los Angeles! I have never lived there and am not a Southern California guy.

But yes, regarding traffic, I've never seen 80 mph zones like they have in the Salt Flats. It was wild driving at 75, and realizing that people were passing me up because I was driving too slowly.

From Wendover to Salt Lake it's 80 all the way. Try it in the fog from the lake. I always thought you were an L..A. guy. Who do you really know? Even people I come across in daily life, who do you really know?

"Who are you?"
"I don't know."
"Who are YOU?"
I don't know.

We’re getting really existential up in here.

They always label my packages ARkansas instead of ARizona

I’m kidding. I actually live in Little Rock, Arkansas, home of the Thrasherdome.

TEMPLARS TAKE DOWN THE BARBARIANS

Salt Lake was in Battle Creek, Michigan last night to take on the Barbarians in the Pit. With the young QB David Espinal at the helm of the offense we weren't sure on what we would get as this is the first game that actually counts.

Salt Lake chose to run the ball, and it worked out because the Templars left Michigan with a big W, 13-3.

Muria had a 12 yard TD in the 1st Quarter which turned out to be the only one of the game. Cannon had a pair of FG's.

The defense gave up 261 yards in a bend but don't break style that got it done. Dean Taylor had a pick, Reed Fanelli forced a fumble and had a sack, Conrad Jefferies had a sack as well.

The big stat of the game besides the score looks like 3rd down conversions, Battle Creek 1/10 compared to Salt Lake 5/15. That and possession with the Templars hogging the ball for 37 minutes to BC's 22.
The team takes on Irvine Anteaters in the next game.

IRVINE ANTEATERS RUIN SALT LAKE DEBUT

The Irvine Anteaters sucked up any momentum the Templars had going and ruined the home debut in a 6-0 yawn fest at Rice-Eccles Stadium last night.

Young Rookie QB David Pineal had a couple of picks, a fumble and was sacked 5 times, other than that he had a (what we think is) descent 13/23 for 99 yards throwing the football.

Robert Angell led the team in both rushing yards and receiving yards with 19 rushes for 61 yards and 4 catches for 41 yards. He may not be able to handle the bulk of the offense because he got banged up a bit with a leg injury. He will play tonight.

On Defense Micheal Zamora played his heart out. He forced 2 fumbles, had a sack and 4 tackles. Reed Fanelli had 1 pick and 6 tackles.

Tonight the Templars play against the Brooklyn Tigers, undefeated last season, undefeated in the playoffs, and hardly any scores against them. So the Templars have their work cut out for them. I'm hard pressed to say they have no chance because doing that would cost me my job as reporter for the team.

But......who knows, a couple turnovers, a bad call or two, some injuries, and a little luck the Templars come out on top on this one.

I would bet on it if I could. Templars victory!

(edit)

We apologize for the mistake in yesterdays story. Brooklyn Tigers were not 16-0 last season. They were 15-1. We try to report it like it is.

(edit 2)

It seems like I may have been a bit high when I made the statement predicting a Templars win vs Brooklyn. When the fog lifted, I was like get real man.
We apologize for the bad reporting.
