The word from jdavidbakr is that the only thing he can do regarding the mass release of players by Detroit is to roll back the league to the previous sim. Then we can go in and fix Detroit from making all those cuts. But there is a downside. When we roll back the league, we lose the last sim - including game results. So the playoff results could come out differently.

What do you think? If we don't roll the league back, the players will hit waivers and everyone can go crazy placing their claims on the players.

I've reached out to Detroit's owner too to see what happened. Current speculation from jdavidbakr is that it looks like Detroit bid on too many players and got over the cap and roster limits and the CPU did mass culling.

I'm voting for a roll back, with the caveat that I have no skin in the game as it pertains to the results of the wild card playoffs.

Same here. This really only affects those teams that played in the Wild Card. We need their input.

I'm okay with a rollback, if I can't win again, I don't deserve to move on. Plus I'd rather we keep league parity.

This is where I'm at, That Detroit team is already struggling. This would potentially keep them from being the Jags from a couple seasons back.

I'd probably have the most chance of being negatively impacted, as Atl and I split the regular season.
That said, I would be in favor of a rollback, If Det cut those players on purpose, or if the owner doesn't reply. If they were cut by the CPU, I'd lean towards saying it's a known part of the game. Would we do a rollback if a playoff team accidentally lost players due to payroll mismanagement?

One part of me says no, But i can see how it benfits league as a whole. So i leave it up to guys.

I'll vote if/when we get more info on Det's intentions.

I spoke with Detroit and he said he tried to re-sign a few guys, cut a few guys. Not totally sure what happened, but I don't believe he tried to sabotage the league on purpose. He said he doesn't pay enough attention these days, so he's going to step down/request the boot.
