Pretoria is a new owner - new to the game less than one month and has been trying hard to salvage the cap situation brought forth by the CPU contracts signed for him. However, he has run into a bit of a roadblock. He needs over $100M in cap space to sign his draft picks, so that will put him over the cap. I advised him to do what many of you would do in this circumstance, which is trade current picks for future picks to avoid cap liability, but then I realized that he cannot trade yet because his account is not 30 days old! His only recourse is to cut all his high money players to get under the cap in order to sign draft picks. He is off by too much, so I suggested that we give him a one time "clear his dead cap" so that his first season won't be with all minimum salary guys and a bunch of draft picks. Let me know if you have any objections to me clearing his dead cap.
