It's been a while since we've written about the team. Even while unexpectedly winning a championship, the ownership hasn't had much to say.
After the 2030 opener, however, team ownership advised the press they wished to have a news conference.
"The team would like to officially introduce the new face of the team. It may look familiar, as he has the same face as the best player the franchise has ever had."
Bill Steinbach continued... "I give you Eddie Cruz JR. If you somehow missed him on the field, all he did was have an Interception, a sack, a forced fumble, three knockdowns, and four tackles."
While we may never see a "sack master" the likes of Eddie Cruise Sr again... it's hard to say those aren't great numbers in the modern MFL game. Especially when you add in that they were done against perennial powerhouse, NY Giants.
