Ummm, who's going to break it to billy that Brady wasn't a no doubt draft pick?

Love your optimism billy. Hope you go 14-2 with McCrea every year and lose in the conference finals to the Monarchs for the next 15 seasons!

Brady was a sixth round pick, and started his first season fourth on the depth chart.

It took me a long time to think about it, but here's my NFL comp for Daniel McCrea, an not its not Tom Brady:

Daniel Jones. QB with a bit of athleticism, not a cannon arm by any means, and decent accuracy, and a GM the unreasonably fell in love with him and overdrafted him. I'm predict Jones level success for McCrea. He'll get some yards and scores, but also account for a lot of turnovers. In two years, it will be McCrea's "make or break" year, just like Jones is going through this year. And bold prediction: In three years (if not sooner), billy will be on the hunt for his new QB of the future (again in the same style as the New York football Giants, who will probably be looking for a new franchise QB after this year).

Same here, Dan! I've ragged on Dave Gettleman since we brought him back, but have to tip my hat to him this year, thought we had an excellent draft.

None of it will mean anything unless DJ takes a massive step up.

Hope you're right. I've been a fan since the LT era in the 80s, but I generally expect the worst unless we're playing the Patriots in the Super Bowl!
