To be clear, we are not mandating any rule against you billy. Do what you want. You are an adult. These will be self imposed billy rules. If you want to wait until you go 16-0 to trade, that's fine.
But count me among the doubters of "I won't trade draft picks ever again." If it comes true, I will praise GrandadB, the grand master of football moguls teachers that was able to get billy to change his ways.
Meanwhile, I'm waiting for someone to post the over/under as to how long after the draft it takes for him to trade his two first rounders burning a hole in his pocket for the "next big thing" player. I bet he would do it for Claude Payton, no questions asked.

I'm just gonna kick it right to the point. We once had "Good Time Pun" feeding us wins with non-stop 5-Wide Long Passes.
Billy V feeds the same way in making his trade partners 'fat cats' with draft picks.
Editor's note: Good Time Pun = Punisher

Wow, a lot happened at work today, apparently.
My two cents: billyvan plays by his own rules. If you actually think that multiple people in this league haven't tried to help billy from himself, you can absolutely hop out of Moguls. I have counseled him so many times, and billy's response is to do his own thing.
Just this season, I literally traded for a high cap player from him, just so I could cut him to help his salary cap and get him some draft picks. Yes, I walked out with a linebacker, too, that was serviceable.
Please don't try to railroad our league to fit your moral high ground.

What happen if your prediction is not come true Norm? Remember the last time you bet with me you end up losing that bet Norm.

You talking the McCrea over/ under? That defaulted on itself because McCrea didn't play rest of season.

This was from before your time. One year I bet him that he would have a worse record than the Wisconsin SnoSharks.
This was, of course, after billy had traded a million draft picks to get a QB and Wisconsin traded only one draft pick to also get a QB. I said that Wisconsin got a better deal and would win the division, while billy wasted all his picks. While it is true that billy got ripped off and wasted his picks on some QB he wound up jettisoning, Wisconsin was even worse that year - very poor gameplanning - and lost more games than billy.

Someone save this one for posterity. You are right that my predictions are not always 100% correct, but as Kurse said, we have seen this movie before. It was just around a year ago I think that you came on here saying that you had learned so much from dominating Admiral's League of Legends, and that you would not be trading away first round picks anymore, no sir. You learned that lesson from that other league. And indeed you did in fact save up all three first round picks. And then... you traded them all away for wide receivers. So yes, I think you can do it. You can save up years of draft picks, but when those rank 90 WRs come calling...
Oh and another movie we've seen play out before... billy saves his draft picks, then sees the draft class and declares "man this draft class sucks" and promptly trades away his first rounder, reasoning, all those guys **** anyways. So my prediction is one of those two things happen before billy is able to actually make one of the three draft picks he will try to save up. So right now the earliest he can have "all his picks" is the 2039 draft.
You heard it hear first, based on the over/under of 2039, I'm taking the under - billy will not make his own 2039 first round draft pick selection. He will definitely save - he'll have all three first rounders by then, but when draft day rolls around, it will be gone, either because "he had to have X player" or because "all these guys ****." Billy just spent weeks typing in the chat "I must get Matthew Park, whatever the cost." Do you think a 2039 first round draft pick is going to stop him for achieving that dream of having Matthew Park on his team? Under, lock it in.

I think one type of trade should be ok for Billy....if he truly feels as though the draft class holds no one for him, he should be allowed to look for a trade partner willing to go pick for future pick of the same round.

Billy is.....Billy. I've offered him loads of advice over several seasons and I know others have tried too. He just ignores it. When it comes to drafting, he will pick a WR or a QB with a first round pick. He'll spend half of his games a season playing 100% pass offense. A classic Billy move this season in Legends was following a game where his QB threw for 550 yards (some achievement in 4.6) and a rare win, he then promptly benched him for the next game.
He does things for the attention and will be loving that this thread is all about him. Help him if you can GdB, I hope someone can finally get through to him. Sadly, Billy's idea of winning is to get the #1 draft pick every season.
