billy, you literally just said that you are "upholding your promise" and you have mentioned multiple times in reference to other trades with Independence, such as the Clarence Harp trade, Sam Evans trades, that all these deals were part of one big plan. And this is the continuation it seems. I just don't want any more secret deals and I think the league would agree. Let me know if I am wrong, but we don't want to legitimize 4 trade combos and stuff between two teams, like what we are seeing now.

I think Billy frames things poorly.

This deal seems okay to me if Billy is trying. When he adds the additional context things tend to blur. I wonder how shared our realities are sometimes.

Yes I have no problem with his trade, as usual, when viewed in isolation. I do have problems if there are secret side deals going on that we don't know about. Just wanted him to clarify that it is not the case. He made it seem like he "owes" a second round pick to Independence as part of a past trade, which is why he had to make the deal. Because what if this isn't the end and billy still owes more picks to Independence as part of the side deal? Then it might not look so fair. We have no way of knowing.

Ok, so as far as me getting this pick back, I had no idea there was a "deal in place" like it's being made to sound. I just had Brill up on the block, with a tag for a 2nd, secondary, or DL help. I got the 2nd round trade offer from Billy, so i took it. *sigh* guess I just need to stop trading with Billy *smh* The only gentlemen's agreement we had was last season, he agreed when he was ready he'd send me back Sam Evans to finish out his career in Indy and I'd return Harp to him as part of that trade. Of course that happened a lot sooner then I thought it was going to.

I gave advice to Billy about the trade for Brill, which was not to trade his 2nd round pick, which will most likely be a 2.1 - 2.5 pick unless Billy can get closer to .500 win %, which doesnt look very likely at this point. I dont know if he got it before making the trade. My advice on the trade was, as has been posted in this thread, that Brill was an 11 yr vet, which is OK for QB short term. Plus, we have 4.6 looming for next season, and QB performance will be adversely affected and the passing game will change significantly. That high 2 pick will be more important for other positions than QB, and I can personally attest to it based on having played "Bleeding Beta" in MFN1 for 3 seasons.

So, overall, been trying to help as I dont think it's good for a league that has a team that is being mis-managed, poorly run, or taken advantage of. And it hurts the competitive balance in a league when one team is getting all the high picks from a losing team, Ive seen it happen before. For those who were or are in Paydirt, it became a damaging issue, one where they instituted trade rules and an oversight committee, and that's just one example.
