Re: How did you draft do in training Camp

And with the #1 overall pick in the draft, the New York Angry Beers choose;

1-1) 88 WR Joseph Reed (6'0'' 210#) +11/-5
Reed came into camp already destined to take over the #WR spot due to his speed and pass catching abilities. But as a RB from that "Other" college, he didn't turn out as expected but still better than had hoped. And with a default rating of 84, he is still a B+/A- receiver (On the 2nd page of WR's). Overall, he is the third best rookie WR from this season's draft. He will be good for production for a season, then its wait and see. Overall Grade.... 2 Beers

2-1 #33) #62 LT Daniel Bock (6'5'' 305#) +20/+4
And with a VOL of 100, people were scared of this monster but after a night of drinking, the team decided to roll the dice. And aren't we glad we did. The team just solidified that position for the next 10+ years. With a relative speed of 63 and ACC of 63 and strength of 95, opposing pass rushers will have a hard time coming around the corner to get after our QB. Even with two Rookie QB's this team will not be sacked 56 times in a season again. Oh...and he can Run Block too so the team now has options on both sided of center. Overall Grade....NORM!!!! (from Cheers)

2-25 #57) 14 WR Allen Santos (6'1'' 199#) +9/+2
With the second choice in the second round, New York continues to improve their offense with a possession style WR. He will line up away from Reed and this team will test Corners, bringing excitement to the fans of the Team. Overall Grade - 1 Beer.

3-1 #65) 71 Michael Ferrell (6'5'' 317#) +15/+6
The Angry Beers again went after a blockade of a lineman looking to assist in the current coaching style. Originally slated as the starting RT, he might be moved inside due his still growing pass blocking potential but is an appreciated addition to the OL. Overall Grade - 2 Beers

3-25 #90) 57 MLB Ryan Willis (6'3 243#) +7/-2
This was a choice for the position that was made out necessity due to cap and age restrictions of the teams current owner. The team had to cut 81default rated MLB Leatherman and his 70% retirement probability along with his huge contract. Originally drafted as a WLB, at the last moment team management moved him to MLB. It seems this move was ill-advised. as he did not blossom as expected. Although he did gain weight as expected by switching his position, the team did not move him to the position so that could be a reason. So we'll take the blame for a foamy beer. Overall Grade - 4 Beers

4-1 #97) 97 RDE Roger Spencer (6'3'' 280) +13/-11
Its a good thing that Spencer studied Culinary Arts at Arkansas State because he is going to spend the next years of his simulated life flipping Burgers at your local Burger-Joint. Not even safe as an insurance policy in case a DE gets hurt. Just like NEW YEAR'S Eve in Times Square, the countdown to midnight is on. The best thing about him is he'll free up $1.6 million in cap space. Overall Grade - DWI.

6-1 #161) 18 QB Leon James (6'2'' 221#) +8/+3
After trading away the team's original starting QB, the team needed someone behind center who could direct the team. So they drafted a just-in-case, probably a journeyman back-up for life in a Duck tape, bubble gum, and bailing wire solution. Still not the long term answer, and probably not Mr Right, but he'll do for Right now. Overall Grade - Foamy 3 beers

7-1 #193) #33 FS Neil Kendall (6'0'' 199#) +12/+5
Drafted with one purpose in mind, to be a Gunner for special Teams, Kendall surprised all the coaches on the team by having the 3rd best growth in camp. Will be moved to SS due to his speed, really can't compete with today's WR's so he has to wait until they come to him. Not bad for a round that usually gets cut right of the block. Overall Grade - 2 Beers

OTHER Rookies
2 QB Steven Williams (6'1'' 230) +9/+6
Received in a trade from Pittsburgh, this 3rd rounder has favorable attributes that the coaches like but not in love with. Will be splitting snaps with QB James, since both are rookies, and the better one will start. Not REALLY fond of both his and James's ACC, but believe that his quick release with offset his speed. Already accepting the fact that this team might lead the league in INTs allowed, but that's a coaching problem for another time.

79 C Roger Adams (6'4'' 278) +2/+1
This Undrafted Rookie was pick up for 1 thing only, to be an insurance policy for two Centers with over 23 combined seasons in case one gets hurt. Still has to work on his run blocking skills and is only available for a short time, but after looking at his camp results, it will be up to him if he wants a long term career.

My training camp was basically terrible. My 5th round pick will be a slot corner that might be ok (he's got wheels at least with 90+ SPD). I had a 1st and 3rd round pick as well, and they are both career back-ups.
