Earlier, we took a look at the greatest running backs in Moguls history, so today, we shift focus to the dominant Wide Receivers that have composed this storied league. What makes a good receiver? Total yards? Touchdowns? Average catch? Championships? All purpose yards? The matrix of all the factors? These players have contributed to some if not all the categories since the league's inception.
#10 Reuben Souders LAX/MEM - 8,711 Total Yards, 73 TDs, 457 Rec, 18.3 Average per Catch. Although Souders never won a championship with Memphis, he's been a strong contributor for 10 years in the league. Now, in his twilight years in the Xtreme, this might be his last rodeo.
#9 Ali Sellner MIA (Ret. 2025) - 9,190 Total Yards, 67 TDs, 612 Rec, 15.0 APC.
Sellner had a long career with Miami and put up another 630 yards and 4 TDs post season, but he hung it up after 9 years with little else to show.
#8 Robert Guitierrez ARK - 8,151 Total Yards, 82 TDs, 501 Rec, 16.3 APC
Guitierrez won two championships and appeared in 5 total Super Bowls with the Thrashers in 10 years, and over the course of his numerous post seasons, he has accumulated another 1,057 yards and 10 TDs.
#7 Wilbert Grego LAX (Ret. 2022) - 8,599 Total Yards, 88 TDs, 405 Rec., 21.2 APC
The first of a few players to play for the Xtremes and no doubt would have put up bigger numbers having retired young. Grego put up a 1900 yard and 23 TD season and, of course, has three Super Bowl rings and a HoF acknowledgement.
#6 Michael Cole SFO (Ret. 2025) - 9,524 Total Yards, 79 TDs, 595 Rec., 15.8 APC
Cole collected one championship with the Demons and acquired an additional 801 yards and 7 TDs in post-season in his 9 years with the team. He has potential HoF numbers.
#5 Joseph Melancon LAX/CIN - 9,402 Total Yards, 91 TDs, 463 Rec., 20.3 APC
Melancon was an early beneficiary of the Xtreme's championship run, but left after the second championship to headline in Cincinnati. His productive career continues after completing year 10, and he posted 1,050 yards and 10 TDs in the post season, although failing to ever make it back to another championship.
#4 Roger Davis WAS/NYN - 12,833 Total Yards, 66 TDs, 492 Rec., 17.7 APC
Davis fleshed our his role in New York as a return man as well, where he tacked on over 2,500 yards in the return game. He won one championship and posted 1,303 receiving yards and 6 TDs in the post-season as well.
#3 William Marquis LAX/NYN - 10,446 Total Yards, 91 TDs, 512 Rec., 18.8 APC
Marquis thrived in the New York system. In 2021, he posted a 3,379 yard season and 36 TDs and was proclaimed league MVP. In addition, he won one championship with New York and posted 944 yards receiving and 4 TDs in the post season with the Giants.
#2 Raymond Farr LAX (Ret. 2024) - 10,084 Total Yards, 94 TDs, 561 Rec., 17.9 APC
The three-time Super Bowl champion and HoF-er also had an additional 1,847 yards and 12 TDs in the post-season, the highest in league history. The man is, by FARR, one of the greats in Mogul history.
#1 Ronald Aguilar LAA (Ret. 2025) - 12,862 Total Yards 103 TD 838 Rec. 15.3 APC
Aguilar was the direct and literal benefit of "Billyball" as we have come to know it. When in doubt, throw it deep. Aguilar is the only WR to have eclipsed 100 touchdowns in the regular season, and he did have two AFC championships and two Super Bowl appearances, although no league championships, but he is a Football Mogul HoFer and this pundit's all-time greatest WR.
