It appears that the London Ravens were the victims of some CPU shenanigans. As far as I can tell from speaking with keithsandle and reviewing the transaction log, I can't tell what he did to trigger mass releases on his roster. He said that he was releasing: Robert Williams, Stephan Zachery, and Harry Wilson. For reasons unknown, the CPU decided to release a bunch of other players and replace them with minimum salary guys. This has gutted his roster. We cannot do a roll back because that would also roll back the playoff results, which obviously would not be fair to the playoff participants.
I am asking everyone to NOT place any waiver claims on the released London players, except for Williams, Zachery and Wilson. Keithsandle will place waivers on the guys he wants back and if none of us places any bids, I think that will let him get his guys back. Even if they clear waivers, can we set a one sim moratorium on signing his guys, so that he has one more shot?
There is one issue with this plan though - all the CPU cuts created a ton of dead cap and he has no cap room to re-sign his guys. I am going to reach out to JDB and get London's dead cap cut by $100 million for both this year and next year. Please let me know if you object to this course of action. If JDB does not respond prior to an hour before the next sim, we will pause the simulation to give time for this correction.
So please: do not place waivers on London's players, except for the three guys he intended to cut, and please give him time to put his team back together.
Thanks,
Norm
