Re: The dreaded Injury bug

So I have read a bit, asked a bit, and thought a bit and I still don't get it.
I use what I think are fairly conservative values in the energy settings and try to do this across my teams but the results are still varied which makes me wonder again how to keep the best product in the game.
We spend a lot of time managing, scouting, setting offensive and defensive gameplans, working thru numerous contracts not to mention the effort that goes into FAgency and drafting, only to get kicked in the **** by the injury bug.

In the directions from the game itself: "Max fatigue before pulling players
As players fatigue, they become less effective. Higher values here will keep your fatigued players on the field longer. Recommended values are 50 - 60
."

My personal values typically are around 40ish except QB and kicker at 100% mostly
I do use overrides on RB/WR and on def mostly to LB'rs but that doesn't seem to be a problem
This is the second season in a row we have been hit hard, last season we lost our starting and main RB in the season begining and had to trade a 1/2 pick for a good RB and tbh we were fortunate that we could make that deal and were still competitive.

I have heard many discuss still playing the payers that have minor injuries and I have been forced to play injured players that I didn't want because of depth of injuries but I do try to be again a bit conservative as I don't want to compound injuries

=======================================================
So maybe if we shared what our settings are, we may be able to see collectively what will work best. If I had my way we would all be fielding our best roster available.
Conversely maybe it's a lot more RNG than we think and these setting may only be a small part of the overall formula where it really is a case of marginal control on our part.

Here is a snapshot week 9: Clearly the CPU team gets it
Looks like the mean is 7 and assuming all teams have 53 players I've thrown in a % injured

Splitted by position group and it mainly works good.

Quarterbacks 100
Backfield 40
Offensive Line 53
Receivers 37
Tight Ends 60
Defensive Line 20
Linebackers 52
Secondary 47
Kickers 100

I find MFN injuries to be more forgiving than real life.
In MFN, I don't remember the last time I had to sit my QB because of injury, or was even probable. No suspensions. I rarely have any one actually unplayable (out). I only remember a couple times that I've had to sign free agents because of injuries during a season.

I do wish there was a way to bench a player once they become questionable in the middle of the game.

Quarterbacks - 100
Backfield - 30
Offensive Line - 25
Receivers - 30
Tight Ends - 30
Defensive Line - 26
Linebackers - 30
Secondary - 72
Kickers - 100

I set them such a long time ago I can't remember which forum post I was going off of. I thought the lower the number the more likely they'd be shuttled in and out and less likely to suffer a serious injury, but I could be wrong about that. Most of my injuries end up with a "probable" designation, so unless the injury rating is in the 40s or 50s I usually keep a player active.
