Re: Boston Biscuits Busting Out of Bean Town

In a confluence of surprising dealings and moves, the Boston Biscuits were acquired by recently retired Quarterback Timothy Thompson, who has elected to move the team to his hometown of Little Rock, Arkansas, so he can have a hands-on approach to the day-to-day operations.

The move will cost Mr. Thompson upwards of $2.4 billion, but with lucrative investments twenty years ago in Apple stocks, the purchasing and relocation of the team became something of a formality to the businessman quarterback.

The story goes that Thompson a then-savvy high school freshman convinced his father to buy $1,000 in Apple stock (approximately 40 shares), and by the time he graduated in 2005, he was already a millionaire with a full scholarship to Boston College. His love for football kept him on the field for 13 seasons, but he always had a head for finance, so now Thompson is diversifying once again by acquiring the team he retired from just a few short months ago. His companies with deep roots in the greater Arkansas area are helping him finance the new stadium, and the city of Little Rock will also subsidize nearly half a billion dollars in tax incentives to have their native son to bring a Football Moguls franchise to the Natural State.

The new affiliation will be the Thrashers, a bird common to Arkansas in fall and winter, for which Thompson's grandmother always had an affinity. The color scheme will still honor the Biscuits legacy of gold and orange, but will also introduce cerulean blue as well to capture the deep hue of the Arkansas skyline. The Thrasherdome stadium itself--set to open preseason 2022--will be a state-of-the-art dome that is tornado-proof and will act as host to numerous other events.
