Hello, and welcome to very first edition of
Arkansas Thrasher Football Super Fun Time!!With a stunning move from new owner and former QB Timothy Thompson, the Football Moguls were shook when the announcement was made to move the Boston Biscuits to (checks notes) Little Rock, Arkansas--owner Thompson's hometown and base of operations.
The preseason for the newly minted Arkansas Thrasher was a bit of a mixed bag: 2 wins, 2 losses; a QB battle still unsettled, and a team with modest talent all over the field, but very few stars.
The Offense is anchored by Clarence Sorenson, who two seasons ago had over 2000 yards from scrimmage and 20 TDs but spent a good portion of last year injured. WRs, Robert Gutierrez and Norman Fleming, who have multiple 1000+ yard receiving seasons and double digit TDs, both return as a dynamic duo of pass catchers.
On Defense, Max Dicken has switched to RDE and picked up 4 sacks and 5 hurries in 4 limited games. Former RDE Mason Saunders slid to the interior and has been a monster run stuffer and grabbed a sack as well. The secondary is anchored by Paul Crabtree, a veteran CB but is mostly surrounded by a group of young, quick defensive backs. WLB Randy Knox suffered a scary injury that will sideline him another 3-4 weeks but his recovery is on schedule.
The regular season commences in a couple of days, and here's hoping the Thrashers take the Terrors out to Granny's woodshed.
