Time to start moving forward again! We went four for four in the draft, nothing spectacular but good results:

We were pleased to sign DE Albert Hart (11th year 84/84) as a free agent.

Young Joseph Schwager brings some radical new ideas to the BTP defense, and the Brown family has been reunited - Dan Brown (former OC at Pittsburgh) has come over to manage our TEs. When he found out we were also looking for a backfield coach, he pointed us in the direction of his son, Bert, who had previously been the receivers coach in Memphis.

In sadder news, the oft-injured Richard Rapoza, long a mainstay of the Baggers D-line (and Buffalo before that - he spent his whole career with this organization), has announced his early retirement at the age of 34. Star LB Scott Cloud unexpectedly rejected three contract offers at the end of last season, and has moved on to the Charlotte FBRD. They will be missed.

2nd QB Brian Harris +10/-2 48/81 Not our next franchise guy.
3rd DL/MLB Darrel Phillips +14/+2 46/70 Good enough to get some play, probably on the line at MLB weight.
3rd DB Joseph Jacobsen +12/+3 42/61 Low M2M & Bump, high Speed & Punish, decent Zone. Should see some action in the opposing side of the field and at FS.
3rd OL John Garcia +7/-1 50/66 Probable cut.
4th OLB Gary Thatcher +7/-5 34/59 CUT.
7th CB Donald Jeffery +7/-1 34/49 CUT.
FA K Wally "Walleye" Morris +5/+1 49/80 Tom Pratt is still with us, so ...
FA K Willie Bailey +7/+4 44/78 looks like a better prospect for the future.

Jeffrey Moore, former HC of the London Monarchs, has been brought in to replace retiring Rufus Perry at OC. John Weeks, former OC of the Blizzard, has been hired to replace Dan Brown at TE coach. Dan will remain with the organization as a scout. Joseph Schwager and his radical new ideas have been released from the organization, and he has been replaced at DC by David Cox, former Secondary coach for Battle Creek.
