Well, after managing an impressive 14-2 record, the Thrashers were set free from 2022's confines by the Indianapolis Colts in the divisional round. New owner, Timothy Thompson, was reportedly happy with the success of the franchise and of Free Agent find, QB John Prentice, who himself picked up a league MVP award.
The team is still well-anchored for its future. RB Clarence had another 2000 all-purpose yard season, and DE Max Dicken hauled in 22 sacks for the second time in his career. Both of whom are still under 27 and are in the primes of their careers. The defensive line in general is one of the strongest in the league, and the offense has always produced with weapons littered throughout.
The Thrashers will look to improve the gaps that do exist. Offensive line and inside linebacker will be a focus through free agency and the draft. Here's to the 2023 season!
