Last year's bet is void. LAX keeps its first round pick (23rd overall) this season. In return for the cancellation of the last year bet, LAX agrees to enter into a new bet with Houston regarding the 2029 football season. LAX and HOU will wager 2 first round picks on this bet. LAX will offer its 1st round picks in 2029 and 2031 and HOU will offer its 1st round picks in 2029 and 2031. The terms of how the winner is determined is as follow: If LAX makes the 2029 Super Bowl (does not have to win, just win the conference championship) and HOU does not, LAX wins the bet. If HOU makes the 2029 Super Bowl (does not have to win, just win the conference championship) and LAX does not, HOU wins the bet. If both LAX and HOU make the 2029 Super Bowl, whichever team wins the Super Bowl, wins the bet. If both LAX and HOU fail to reach the 2029 Super Bowl, the bet is declared a tie and no first round picks will be swapped and the bet will be concluded.

You could just give me the pick back out of the goodness of your heart and we can call off this bet, rather than going through one more year of anxiety. It's only one year right? No follow up in 2030 and no "quadruple or nothing."
