Kayfabe Draft Picks
First round
Number 9 overall
WR Seth Rollins (5’11” 211#) from Murray StateNickname: The Kingslayer
The Real Kayfabe had three players targeted ahead of Rollins, but as those players were quickly scooped up before the team’s time at the podium, they had to scramble to get their B plan orchestrated. Rollins brings everything to the table that the Kayfabe wants to help their struggling offense, which was ranked 20th overall the past season. His 40 yard dash time at team tryouts makes him the 2nd fastest WR on the team. His pass catching abilities has potential to be ALL-Star material. His B&R avoidance skills, even though small for his size, ranks right up there. Management hasn’t decided if he will be WR2 or slot since teams like to double team WR1 and WR2.
Second Round
Number 40th overall (2:8)
C Brock Lesner (6’3” 288#) from PurdueNickname: The Beast Incarnate
Starting 12 year veteran C Evans is great and a possible HoF candidate, but greatness doesn’t last forever. And that’s the reason the Kayfabe went after the lynch pin of an offensive line. Since the strength of the team is the ground game, the center has to be a road grater in run blocking while being agile enough on his feet to be a good pass blocker. Lesner meets these requirements. And as backup (YES I USED A 2nd ROUND PICK on a BACKUP) to Evans, the team feels if and when Evans retires, his shoes will be filled. Lesner will also rotate between LG and RG
Number 60th Overall (2:28)
DE Roman Reigns (5’11” 267#) from ClemsonNickname: The Big Dog
Its not the size of the dog in the fight, but the size of the fight in the dog. With the tenacity of a wounded pitbull, Reigns attacks the passer from the outside like no other. Has the speed to get around pass blockers as well as the strength to push them out of the way to get to his target. Originally a MLB at Clemson, his combine skills say that he may be a great asset as a DE in AGS. Can line up on either side as well as a MLB threat.
Number 65th Overall (3:1)
CB Kevin Owens (6’0” 208#) from Northwestern Nickname: The Prizefighter
It was long and hard search to find a member of the secondary with the speed and other skills needed to play in the league. And with a high volatile temper that scares others away, Owens wouldn’t even have gotten a tryout with other teams. But the REAL Kayfabe believes they found a diamond in a lump of coal. And they have to do something quick because the team doesn’t know how many games 15 year veteran Ward has left.
