Do you not have to factor in the the fact that there is often a premium to a good DL and the pick used to get them is higher than should be all things equal.
It should be the most important factor, but its not, there's a very high % of sack/hurry leaders whos ratings and key attributes would put them in late round or not drafted at all. A lot of high performance DL are taken out of both early and late FA periods along with right out of the FA pool. On the other hand, if you do use a 1.1 to 1.20 pick on a DL and he consistently performs in the top 20 level for sacks/hurries and is also a good run stopper, then you get your value out of that pick. I dont get 1.1 to 1.20 picks, unless I either take over a losing team or trade for it, so when I do get a pick that high, my priority is for WR or DB.

My norm would be to think along fantasy football lines where the 1.5 DL coupled with the 2.5 WR may give better scoring potential than the 1.5 WR and the 2.5 DL because the WR pool is deeper, but you may be spot on the the 1.5 WR can make a bigger impact in the hands of a good manager
GDB, what about o line that early? I like when I can land a solid ol really early, emphasis on solid (low vol, high attr). Not sure of how other managers value it.
I.e. LT at 1.1 this year. I applaud that pick to the utmost.
Was looking at last seasons player stats, always find the sack leaders interesting, and last season was no exception. How does a DT (Dabney/Oak) with 58 speed, 62 strength, and 70 pass rush with an Ai rating of 59 (my weights = 61) end up leading the league in sacks? Apparently, it doesnt have as much to do with key attributes and overall rating as it should. AND ..... Oakland/Nyses, had another low rated DT (Ledford/59) only 1 sack behind (10 total) and DE, Carlton, with 8, and DE Jaramillo/53!! with 7 sacks to give Oakland 4 DL in the top 4 total sacks (12-7). If that's not a first in MFN, I would be surprised. Not only to have 4 DL with top 4 results, but all of them are Ai rated under 70!!
Thrashers DE Michael Cherrito 88 sacks / 338 QB Hurries = Default rated 69, Pick 5.32
