MEMPHIS BEATS JACKSONVILLE

The Hound Dogs hosted Rookie quarterback Todd Sather and his Jaguars last night in the Elvis Aaron Presley Memorial Dome. The young quarterback looks pretty good and he most likely will be one of the best in the league in the near future. But he is a rookie now and Memphis kept them out of the end zone for the first 3 quarters and got the ball to Nathan Hoadley to get the win 48-16.

Hoadley, the center of the Hound Dogs offense, or so it seemed caught 2/84 yards and a TD, ran 6/114 and 2 TD. It's always nice when Nathan Hoadley comes to play as he is one of the fastest players in the league. RB Hull also had a good game scoring both on the ground and in the air.

The Hound Dogs now have won 6 straight and with the Charlotte loss to Tampa Bay last night, it looks as if the Division Title is theirs to take or lose. Memphis has to go down to Tampa Bay and play the Bucs next.

So the Hound Dogs final 4 regular season games are @Tampa Bay (6-6), Detroit (7-5), @Indy (9-2-1), and then @ Charlotte (8-4), so the potential for a collapse similar to last season is real and these next 4 games are going to test the teams toughness and stamina. The time for the Dogs to step up is now. Every game from this point on out should be treated as if it's a win or go home situation because a loss or two and it may come to that.

Stay tuned to see how the season plays out. No matter how it ends up, it's gonna be one heck of a ride getting there!

NFC SOUTH BATTLE IN TAMPA BAY, FLORIDA

The Dogs were down in Tampa to take on the Bucs in NFC South action last night and they kept their division record unbeaten with a 30-10 win.

Mazon played well, going 24/35 for *** yards, 3 TD, and 1 interception. John Ahern, the big TE out of Grambling was his target1 of choice 8/169 and a TD. Reuben Souders caught 2/109 and a TD. RB Hull had a TD catch as well as being to teams workhorse in the running game. 14 carries for 41 yards.

The Hound Dog defense is a scruffy dog. It seems a bit mangy but it is the type that if taken into the dog pound, someone easily will come by and adopt it. The defense has only allowed 23 points per game and that seems pretty high but with the Dogs ability to score this season it's been sufficient to get the Dogs to 11-2 with 3 left. Next week Detroit comes into town. They are still alive in the playoff race so a win for either us or them will be big. Then it's on to Indy to take on the Colts, and then to the East Coast Hog country for a BBQ pig.

"The defense came up with some big plays in Tampa. LB Ehmann, McDonald, and Elvin "Hunka Hunka" Brown all got to Arroyo. Memphis LB Robert "Someone's gonna get hurt" Asbury showed his softer side as he jumped a route and picked off Arroyo.

Detroit is coming to the Dome. Motown vs. Graceland. It should be a dandy!!

HOUND DOGS BEAT DETROIT

The Detroit Lions were the guests last night in The Elvis Dome and were treated quite rudely by the 71,221 in attendance. Memphis won the game 62-24 as Mazon shook off an early interception to throw for 454 yards on 20/27 passing, 8 TD, 1 INT. He was named one of the "Players of the Week". Congrats to Mazon on that accomplishment.

Stephen Rutherford was his target of choice out of the backfield. 9/209 with 3 TD. Bellows had 3/126 and a TD. Souders, Adams, Prosser, and Ahern all had TD catches.

The Memphis D played really good despite the 24 points the Lions put up. They had 4 picks, 3 forced fumbles, and 4 sacks in an all around great effort.

With the win over Detroit, Memphis clinches their 1st NFC South title in history.
That means we will be playing in the Playoffs in a few weeks.

The team still has games @ Indy and @ Charlotte.

2020 HAD NEW TEAM SEASON RECORDS BROKEN

The Memphis Hound Dogs have had a record season, finishing 13-3, it is their best season in Moguls Football.

Robert Mazon the QB came here from Seattle where he threw record interceptions and fit right in to the Memphis offense. He broke team records in yards 6,480, TD's 62, QB Rating 136.08, Completion Percentage 63.6%. He has done one **** of a job here and were happy to have him on the team.

Stephen Rutherford sat the new TD record at 16. He sat a rushing yards record at 954.

David Hull sat a team record for rushing TD's with 10.

Reuben Souders 15 TD catches is a new record.

Rookie Joseph Lopez sat a new record for tackles 89.

Larry Brashear had 6 interceptions which is a new record.

So all around this Memphis team of 2020 has been a great group and we hope we can get this game against the Demons and go from there.

Be careful. You may find yourself with accommodations at the Heartbreak Hotel on the San Francisco Demons Football Team. It was one heck of a game and I had all the chances in the world to win. I just need to figure out how to finish close games instead of letting them get out of hand. This has been a fun season, I hope Mazon stays playing the way he has been. If so, and some luck on the draft, I may be able to compete with the NFC West!

Good Luck on your game.
