MEMPHIS BEATS JACKSONVILLEThe Hound Dogs hosted Rookie quarterback Todd Sather and his Jaguars last night in the Elvis Aaron Presley Memorial Dome. The young quarterback looks pretty good and he most likely will be one of the best in the league in the near future. But he is a rookie now and Memphis kept them out of the end zone for the first 3 quarters and got the ball to Nathan Hoadley to get the win 48-16.
Hoadley, the center of the Hound Dogs offense, or so it seemed caught 2/84 yards and a TD, ran 6/114 and 2 TD. It's always nice when Nathan Hoadley comes to play as he is one of the fastest players in the league. RB Hull also had a good game scoring both on the ground and in the air.
The Hound Dogs now have won 6 straight and with the Charlotte loss to Tampa Bay last night, it looks as if the Division Title is theirs to take or lose. Memphis has to go down to Tampa Bay and play the Bucs next.
So the Hound Dogs final 4 regular season games are @Tampa Bay (6-6), Detroit (7-5), @Indy (9-2-1), and then @ Charlotte (8-4), so the potential for a collapse similar to last season is real and these next 4 games are going to test the teams toughness and stamina. The time for the Dogs to step up is now. Every game from this point on out should be treated as if it's a win or go home situation because a loss or two and it may come to that.
Stay tuned to see how the season plays out. No matter how it ends up, it's gonna be one heck of a ride getting there!
