At this point in the season I find it unlikely that the CPU made those cuts.

Regarding the league parity issue: Detroit will become new Jacksonville if we play on. They will have about $90M of dead cap next season and no stars, so they will be 0-16 for at least a year or two to recover from the cuts.

My analysis of their transactions shows that they signed like 30 low money free agents, and that probably sent the CPU haywire because they were way over the roster limit and cap limit. That's my theory I guess, assuming the story SF said about Detroit owner is true. He probably thought (or forgot) that he wanted to sign these cheapo guys and then everything went crazy. So CPU cuts may have happened.

Under the circumstances, I've voted for roll back.
I just hope nobody in the future will try to use this as a precedent, to get players back, should they lose players due to not paying attention.
Just my two cents.

I still vote no. Roll back ain't going to solve the problem.

I vote to roll back if it fixes the league in the long run. I realize I barely won my playoff game and have a good chance of being knocked out.

I voted rollback.

Not that there's anything wrong with New Jacksonville. ;)

Would the CPU make those cuts at that time though? Unless Detroit added a new player from FA that spent the CPU spinning, those types of cuts would have only occurred at the end of the season not during the Wild Card round. Otherwise, wouldn't those cuts have come periodically during the season and not just vomited out all at once. I don't see how this could have happened without user input, and that to me, makes it disingenuous at best.

really only way anyone would know if the CPU or a person did the CUTS was if once a CUT happened there was a notice that the CPU cut the player or the PERSON cut the player.

basically anyone could say the CPU did it when in reality they made the mistake

Well, the playoff teams all seem to willing to replay their games, and the vote seems to favor a roll back.

As pointed out by billstein, please note I am very reluctant to do this and it will only happen again in extreme circumstances, like what happened here where a whole team got gutted and free agents flood the market. It won't be done, as he suggested for minor mistakes made my careless teams.

Detroit's owner will be booted from the league and someone from the league (me or SF depending on who has time) will temporarily take control of Detroit to figure out what went wrong and stop it from happening.

Good luck to all the playoff teams in the deja vu matchups.

I will reach out to jdavidbakr and keep you updated on the status of repairing the league. It might take some time.
