GG Ducks........I don't understand how an onside kick would work after a safety? I thought that the ball was punted in that situation? We tried the onside though. We kind of had to. Good Luck til next time I play you.

Yeah, it's a real thing. Just doesn't happen much.

Edit to add, in the NFL, a safety kick can be a punt, placekick, or dropkick (a punt that hits the ground before contact), but no tee can be used. This game seems to line it up as a placekick, that magically stays up without a tee.
