Billy, will you agree to Grandad's terms? I'm fine with that special rule for billy if he agrees.

if that the case then I will accepted the term if I win 8 or more games. as for the two round 1 pick to reverse it be impossible to do that now.

Does this ask mean that xero will go undefeated over the next 10 seasons? Or did he just get a leg up one time? Would Billy make this same trade this year or next year if sanctions were not placed? All unknown. This sounds like a huge overreaction. GDB you've been called out in exploits that are far more egregious than draft picks, and this is a one time example a while season later. Billy could have been far more competitive, so really your anger is displaced. You're upset about the trade, but you should be upset at Billy unwillingness to half way try last season.

Also, I did not miss the trade. I saw it happen through chat and the official post. My interpretation at the time was Billy is experienced enough to know what he is doing, good or bad.

I'd hate to see you leave over this trade. I encourage you to keep working with Billy. I encourage Billy to be more conscious of what he is doing.

I would also say Billy rejected many offers from me last year. Had he took them, maybe they'd also seen unfair considering how the season played out.

I'm calling BS on the accusation of taking advantage of Billy. This wasn't "a scout master and a scout..." yadda yadda yadda... This was two grown adults (assuming) with 449 total MFN games between them.

Billy's been in the game 4 years. He's not a rookie owner. Most of his (what most consider) lopsided trades were initiated by him.

Accepting what an established owner offers you, is NOT "taking advantage of" them.

People have different ways of playing the game. You can't judge another person as "wrong" just because you would do things a different way. "Tanking" is frowned on, sure... but it's been used by many teams, in many sports, with success.

Should we set up a rule that every owner must use Setherick's player weights? Should we mandate fatigue/sub rates? ****... why don't we all just agree on the same plays and game planning... that way nobody has an advantage over anyone else?

Although...

Maybe we can reverse that Patrick Spinner trade, while we're at it...

A 1 for the LC win, and 2nds for each Conference win sounds fair... lol

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ted_Stepien#NBA_owner

This is essentially the Ted Stepien rule. The guy inherited the Cleveland Cavaliers and proceeded to trade 5 consecutive 1st round picks in an effort to make the playoffs immediately. The NBA stepped in a restricted them from trading because they were scared the Cavaliers would trade the next 20 years of picks and make the team unstable.

Integrity of the League Review
Season 1 premise: Begging for losses.
Season 2 premise: Trading picks to teams because they're your "buddy".
Season 3 premise: Benching all your defensive players for the lulz.

I'm curious what the writers will come up with next! Personally I think this show should've been canceled after S1 but user engagement can't be denied.

I do not pretend to have any answers but we all know Billy's team has struggled and "mostly" remained near the top of the draft for quite a few seasons so most of us have a pretty good idea that Billy's picks may be really juicy. So anyone trading for his 1st's will know what they are getting. Many of the trade meters will still show a high player value in his 7-9 season yet we all know the player has limited value and this is not reflected in the "trade meter" yet in a trade for top picks may still show as equal even tho we all know it is not. No-one would be trading a top first for older players unless they were maybe looking for that one or two missing players to take you into the championship.

I think for me what makes it very cloudy is when Billy references, "helping his buddy" or something like that or statements that are borderline indications that he is also tanking which doesn't help matters.
