I don't know the answer to #1. I don't use the new interface yet, so we will see. My guess is no... but I have no idea. But it will not be a long term workaround. Eventually, the computer will edge everyone into compliance.

Regarding #2, limited position switching is still allowed. Please consult the chart above. So you CAN do FB -> RB. Or FB to TE. But you can't do WR to RB. Likewise, you asked about S to LB. That's not allowed anymore. LBs are locked at LB. DBs are locked at DBs and DL are locked at DL. I couldn't think of a way to do it the would cut off the "chain reaction" - that is, if we allowed S to go to LB, and LB to go to DE, then you could convert a safety to a DL in two steps.

I've looked it up in MFN 1.
Default is:
RB -> FB, WR
FB -> RB, TE, WR
TE -> FB, WR
OL -> OL
DL -> DL
LB -> LB
Secondary -> any Secondary

Edit: WR -> WR. I think this is the default position and also conversion matrix

Our twist that folks in this league supported was, can't do all DBs, because that devalues safety - you can just use any CB to play S. Likewise, no DE at DT, because DT gets devalued. You could always play DE at DT. I don't know if any of this makes any difference in the long run, but we are trying it out.

I'd suggest KH can be any position.

Unless there's some really funky mechanics going on, should be position agnostic.

I'm not a massive fan of the matrix idea full stop, for reasons not going to go into.

In an ideal; position conversion and selecting into depth chart, overrides would be decoupled. Want to change a player from CB to DE due to poor coverage but great pass rushing skills? Knock yourself out, but if his weight isn't within a tight range, can't select him until weight around right level.

We can no longer change the position matrix, unless I pay for it. So kick holder is not so important that it is worth paying for the fix at this point. If there is stuff that we as a league deem need fixing, I will pay and fix it, but for now, don't expect to be able to put your TE at kick holder.

I would agree with your assessment that distinguishing between position switch and depth chart manipulation makes sense. Unfortunately, that's a JDB question. Right now, we only have the all or none approach and the league is going to try out the "none" approach to start. So far, the results have been zero back to back champions, since we instituted, so maybe it's working?
