Super Bowl XIX was a tense game, featuring a battle between the first time participant The Real Kayfabe and past champion San Francisco Demons. It was a defensive struggle in the first quarter until the teams finally broke through with touchdowns in the second, with Raymond Reyes and Kenneth Rainey both throwing TD passes. The game stayed close, going to the half, with the Kayfabe maintaining a three point lead. The Demons then put up 13 straight points in the second half to take the lead, while their defense held down the fort. And that defense was absolutely anchored by one player who simply dominated the game. In the first half he had a critical forced fumble that stopped a Kayfabe drive at midfield. He then added two interceptions in the second half, including the fourth quarter interception that would set up the field goal that would be the difference in the game. Your Super Bowl MVP, for only the second time in history, is a defensive player: George Worley, S, San Francisco!

And the fans absolutely are loving him, now a Super Bowl legend: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2FUQTdAB0ho

The 2036 regular season is over and we are set up for an exciting playoffs. But first, time to recognize the stars of the past season.

On defense, once again, it's Allen Reynoso's world and we are just living in it. The Wilmington CB added another 15 INTs to his career total and is probably even today, the greatest defensive back in Football Moguls history. No one has been as dominant as he has.

On the lines, sacks were down, with the league leader only have 8 sacks. Casey Cangelosi of Oakland had 8 ad 24 hurries, so he probably was the top pass rusher of the year.

On offense, run offense continued its league wide decline. There was only one player to rush for over 1000 yards this year: Travis Helms of Wilmington, who had 1284 yards on the ground.

But on the flip side, aerial attacks were soaring. Five wide receivers had over 1500 yards and 3 QBs eclipsed 5000 yards. Leading the way was last year's MVP Kenneth Rainey of San Francisco, who threw for over 6800 yards and 65 TDs, with 28 INTs too though. George Wilson of Chicago led the league with an 108 QB rating, throwing for 5100 yards and 43 TDs. And David Bare did his best Jameis Winston impersonation, throwing for 46 TDs and 41 INTs.

On the receiving end of these passes, in any other year, Stuart Grizzle of London would have received huge accolades for his season, 2139 yards and 15 TDs is phenomenal. But nary a word was said about him all year because we were all witnesses to a history unprecedented season. The single season touchdown record, 36 by William Marquis of the New York Giants, went down and we saw one of the greatest single season receiving performances ever. The totals were 121 catches, 3145 yards, and yes, 37 TDs. The last time we saw numbers like that was William Marquis MVP season and it should come as no surprise then that this record breaking season is also MVP worthy. Wide receiver Jeffrey Lacey of San Francisco is your 2036 MVP!

Super Bowl finished off the 20th year of Football Moguls and the final clash was a major letdown, as the game was never close. The Brawndo Corp Dildozers jumped out to an early lead with three first quarter touchdowns, and didn't let up, adding 24 more going into the half with a 45-14 lead. Wide receiver James Brandt had 268 yards receiving with 3 touchdowns. Meanwhile, the defense intercepted Bears quarterback George Wilson 6 times, with Particular Individual hauling in two picks. It was a blowout, which was surprising considering the Dildozers played without starting quarterback David Bare, but they were able to turn to a steady hand, their former MVP, QB Brian Roberts, who delivered with 5 touchdown passes, 476 yards and a ridiculously easy Super Bowl win. Brian Roberts becomes a two time Super Bowl MVP!

And because it was Super Bowl 20, NFL Films was there to document: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s1lxK5h8g_c

The 2037 regular season is over and it was a year of controversy. Starting off with turmoil arising from Brawndo Corp, spilling over into Pennsauken and then across the league, controversy was everywhere, in addition to rules changes that changed the league, there was a total stat upheaval. How crazy? Pennsauken led the league in rushing!

On defense, we saw the return of the sack master. Brian Dyer of Detroit led the league with 32 sacks and Los Angeles defensive ends Gabriel Hughes and Lawrence Richardson combined for 47 sacks.

Meanwhile, rookie Ulysses Lucia of Independence stepped in and instantly became the top coverage linebacker in the league, with 11 interceptions. Paul Pitcher of Chicago was the top DB with 10 INTs.

On offense, stats were depressed across the league, but we did see the return of the 1000 yard rushing season, with 14 players hitting that mark. Johnny King of Terra Haute led the way with Larry Bruner of San Francisco leading the league with 15 TDs on the ground.

Wide receiver Stacker Pentecost of Arkansas was the only receiver to pass 1000 yards, with 1341 yards and 16 TDs. He is a testament to the Arkansas offense that weathered all the storms and produced a 15-1 season.

And the leader of that 15-1 was a surprise. Placed under the hottest magnifying glass possible, replacing a living legend, that was still on the roster, this player took the reigns and instantly led Arkansas to win after win, while bucking all trends and leading the league in touchdowns, and second in yards and QB rating. Your 2037 league MVP is quarterback Calvin Hahn, Arkansas!

Super Bowl XXI was so boring that even this recap took forever to write. The game was a laugher. From the outset, the Thrashers controlled the game and it was not close. The Bears were looking for redemption, but got in an early hole and never looked back. It was 30-0 before the Bears scored a single point. George Wilson was shut down until garbage time. The Trashers outgained the Bears 570 yards to 154 yards. Stacker Pentecost went for 100 yards and 2 TDs, but the player who had the game of his life was Thrashers QB Calvin Hahn, who in his first season as a starter and first ever Super Bowl appearance, threw for 393 yards and 3 TDs. Calvin Hahn is the easy choice for Super Bowl XXI MVP.

The 2038 regular season has long ended and we are on the brink of the Super Bowl, so it's time to hand out the hardware and honor the stars of the past season.

On defense, DE Willie Penwell of the Kayfabe established himself as one of the most feared pass rushers in the league, racking up a league high 27 sacks. And Chicago, without its power offense after George Wilson retired, became a defensive powerhouse, with the new monsters of midway, Richard Parker and Fredrick Kelly combining for 39 sacks.

Meanwhile, CB Heriberto Medrano of Battle Creek was a lone bright spot for that team, making a league high 9 INTs.

On offense, we saw the return of the rush offense, with 14 1000 yard rushers, led by a surprising name. 32 year old William Holmes of Los Angeles, despite missing several games due to injury, turned back the clock and led the league in rush with 1391 yards and Los Angeles actually had two 1000 yard rushers, with Nicholas Roberts rushing for 1147. By the way, Holmes also became the all time touchdown leaders in Football Moguls. The only question is whether he rides off into the sunset and hall of fame this offseason.

Receiving was again dominated by one man, the sole 1000 yard receiver in the league, and sole double digit receiving TD guy in the league, Arkansas' Stacker Pentacost, who was the head and shoulders number 1 WR.

And mentioning Pentacost leads us to the MVP discussion, but there really was not much of a discussion this year. We are in the midst of witnessing perfection - a 16-0 regular season. And that accomplishment is so significant, how can we ignore it. The true MVPs for Arkansas were on defense, where that unit allowed only 89 points the whole season, which is the least all time. A team effort all around by the linemen, linebackers and secondary, no one player excelled as the sole defensive catalyst. In many ways, defensive coordinator Dennis Hunt is the true MVP and should be getting head coaching looks this offseason. But in order to honor the accomplishment of Arkansas, the MVP voters will do something they rarely do. The leader of the Thrashers led the league in TD passes, was second in QB rating and second in yards. He's the leader of an undefeated team, on the cusp of repeating as champions, so we have a rare, back to back MVP, QB Calvin Hahn, Arkansas.

Super Bowl XXII featured a classic David and Goliath battle, with the undefeated Arkansas Thrashers facing the Detroit Lions, playing in their first Super Bowl ever. Meanwhile, the Thrashers have won six titles. A heavy underdog going into the game, Detroit made history and, for the second time in franchise history, they would finish the season an ignominious 18-1. The Lions played a defensive struggle the Arkansas in the first half. With key offseason acquisition Claude Payton breaking free for a 58 yard TD catch. However, in the second half, Detroit's offense kicked into gear, scoring 17 second half points. Meanwhile, the defense kept up the pressure, with defense ends David Garcia and Brian Stephens combining for four sacks. The defense closed out an amazing upset as the Lion won theri first ever Super Bowl title. But the man pacing the Lions was a player once left for dead. He was a former first round pick, roundly declared a bust. He only had one season in his career where he threw more touchdowns than interceptions. He never had a QB rating higher than 80. But on the biggest stage, in the biggest game of his life, QB Adam Benton finally showed why he was a first rounder and first QB taken in the draft all those years ago and had the game of his life, capping off a miraculous post-season where against all odds, he threw 11 TDs and no INTs. In the Super Bowl, he threw for 298 yards and 3 touchdowns. Your Super Bowl XXII MVP is Adam Benton, QB, Detroit!
