Re: League MVP

So as usual, every year, I come up with my selection for league MVP. This year inaugural year, we had some pretty amazing statistics put up.

WR Raymond Farr had 109 catches for 2266 yards and 21 TDs! Teammate Wilbert Grego had over 1600 yards and 23 receiving TDs! WR Ronald Aguilar also went over 2000 yards with 18 TDs!

Rookie QB Patrick Spinner put up 43 TDs, over 5000 yards and a 110 QB rating.

RB Ricky Grant of Green Bay was the leading rusher, with over 1200 yards.

One could even make an argument for Eddie "39 sacks" Cruise.

But really, there was not any doubt who the league MVP was. Standing head and shoulders above the rest of the league is our 2017 MVP, QB Owen Barrett, Los Angeles (N). Barrett blew away the competition by throwing for 6099 yards, almost 1000 yards more than the #2, and 64 TDs, nearly 20 more than the #2 QB. He put up a league best QB rating of 115 while leading his team to a 15-1 record and the number 1 seed in the NFC.

Super Bowl MVP: Wilbert Grego, 2 TD catches including the game breaking 94 yarder. Carmine Martinez also had a great game, but it's hard for defensive players to win MVP.

Well, it's that time again. For all the newcomers, every year I crown a league MVP, just for fun. It's just my opinion. I usually factor in who the CPU picks as top players and go from there. We had an epic 2018, with record setting offensive performances everywhere.

Karl Grizzard was the top RB, with 1488 yards, averaging a league best 5.1 yards per carry.

WRs Raymond Farr and Ronald Aguilar had epic, historic seasons. Farr had a league leading 32 TDs to go along with 2447 yards on 100 catches, while Aguilar hauled in 132 ***** for 2666 yards and 31 TDs.

On defense, there was no Eddie Cruise level performance this year, but Randy Ruiz caused the most chaos as the league's best pass rusher.

But really, there should be no doubt that the league MVP race really comes down to two guys. Two record setting QBs. Here are the resumes and insane looking numbers for consideration.

Brian Teeple: He led the Red Dragon to a 14-2 victory piloting the team's pass heavy offense, meaning his performance was the centerpiece of his team as the run game was non-existence and the defense was the worst in the league (32nd in yards allowed). He shouldered a big load and delivered record setting stats - 8439 yards! 90 TDs! He put up a 105.18 rating. But he also had 27 INTs, and completed only 53% of passes. Still 90 TDs! 90 TDs! If that isn't an MVP number, what is?

Owen Barrett: The reigning MVP somehow had an even better season than last year. The Xtreme went 15-1. Barrett had 6851 yards, 79 TDs vs. 11 INTS, for a record setting QB rating of 128.89 and a ridiculous 11.19 yards per attempt. The CPU selected him for the 2018 all-pro QB. And, Barrett did all this on 300 fewer attempts than Teeple.

What epic seasons. But there can only be one MVP... and the winner is... to be announced. I want to hear who you all think should be MVP. I'll open up for debate. I think I have my winner in mind already, but I don't want to be accused of #corruption or the opposite denying a win just to avoid corruption allegations, so maybe your comments will hopefully clear things up for everyone. So who do you think the MVP is?

My choice is not even a consideration.......Robert Ashbury from The Memphis Hound Dogs. He eats Quarterbacks for lunch.

In the world we live in today there are no winners and losers. Everyone is just as much an MVP as the next human being......oh yeah, this is a sim. Conference MVP's for this season or any other that there is a dilemma?

When people look up the word 'sham', they're going to see the #corruption that is taking place in the 2018 Mogul MVP voting. To not even consider Anton Rivers, Mr. 15-1 and only QB to defeat the defending champions?? The man has 1 WR with rating of 80+. The next best WR is a 71 rating. Give Anton Rivers the receiving corps of Red Dragon or Xtreme and the Demons go 32-0 to start this league. Give Red Dragon the Demon's receivers and they go 2-32 (narrowly beating the Jaguars). Xtreme with the Demon receivers struggle to go 8-8.

Do the right thing norm and give Anton Rivers his trophy. Maybe then, he'll refrain from putting an easy 50 spot on you in a few weeks.

Please,
Assbury wet himself and hid on the sideline anytime he had to play anybody with a solid O-Line.

I would just like to remind everyone that the League MVP award is a regular season award and nothing that happens after the regular season should be factored into the decision, no matter how demoralizing and pathetic some players may play.

Well, here it is... the regular season MVP is... Brian Teeple, Los Angeles Red Dragon.

Say what you will about billyvan's crazy offensive system, but passing for 8,000 yards and 90 TDs is historic. Sorry to sore losers, but it doesn't matter what receivers you have, good or bad. Those numbers are simply insane. And what's more, he simply had to do it, otherwise, his team would have lost. The Red Dragon had the worst defense in the league and worst run game in the league. He was the glue that held this 14-2 team together. And as evidenced by their two losses, not much separated them from winning and losing other than the ability to put up points.

I had hoped someone could have made an argument for Owen Barrett's epic season as well, but his was just a little less historic. Also, he already won last year.

Anton Rivers... blames his supporting cast for his inferior numbers and then, well, his performance speaks for itself. Great players elevate those around them and do not complain they need better supporting casts.

Asbury - come on now. Let's be serious now. This is just ridiculous. He's not even the best defensive player in his division. 81 tackles, 9 sacks, 38 hurries. You know who did also did that? 4 other players with better stats. Who had more sacks? 35 other players. Who had more tackles? 68 other players. Who had more hurries? 39 others.

In his own division, Eddie Cruise had an off year, but still managed 90 tackles, 15 sacks, 53 hurries and a league leading 9 forced fumbles. Asbury? More like absurdity to even mention his name in this conversation.
