Super Bowl XXVI was a defensive struggle that saw no touchdowns until the fourth quarter! Once the Shadow Dancers offense got going, however, there was no hope for Brooklyn, as Rapid Valley put up 18 points in the fourth. Leading the way was QB Michael Ramirez and he was the Super Bowl MVP.

The 2043 regular season is done and as usual it is time to recognize the star players of the past year.

On defense, second year defensive lineman David Cloutier of the Los Angeles Red Dragon led the way with 26 sack, reinvigorating the long dormant Red Dragon defense. Along with trade addition linebacker Ulysses Lucia (10 INTs) and fellow second year player Byron Espinoza (12 INTs) it was the first time in ages that the Red Dragon had a truly fearsome defense.

Speaking of fearsome defenses in Los Angeles, Xtreme linebacker Andrew Johnson tied for the league lead in interceptions with Espinoza with 12. And Jackson Township, led by defensive end Jay McMillan with 15 sacks, once again held opponents to less than 100 points this season.

On offense, Matthew Romero of Jackson Township led the way on the ground with over 1500 yards and 9 TDs. His teammate Tommy Jhonson cracked 1000 yards, but the top receiver this year was Chicago's Rogelio Tidwell, with 1454 yards and 13 TDs.

But as always, when it comes to MVPs, it comes down to the quarterbacks. Brandon Collins of Brooklyn has the ultimate argument - his team went 16-0! And he was a major part of it, throwing for 27 TDs against only 7 INTs. But the QB that dominated the statistics and led his team to a 15-1 record and the number 1 seed in the NFC put up insane numbers: 4,981 yards, 43 TDs, 103 QB rating. That's the most touchdowns and yards by a quarterback since 2036! Your 2043 season MVP is quarterback Michael Ramirez, Rapid Valley Shadow Dancers .

At Super Bowl XVII, history was made. For the first time ever in Football Moguls history, we witnessed an undefeated, perfect, 19-0 season. The Brooklyn Tigers dominated the Rapid Valley Shadow Dancers, avenging their defeat of last season to capture their third Super Bowl title and third in five years. Brooklyn set the tone early with its defense. Thanks to turnovers, the Tigers were able to get out to a lead and never looked back. The key player who started everything and did it twice was defensive back Michael Crawford, who had two interceptions and he was named Super Bowl MVP.

The 2044 regular season exhibited the continuing dominance of the Brooklyn Tigers organization as they had their unprecedented second 16-0 season in a row. Their stifling defense led the way as usual.

Speaking of defense, the top defenders this year included some familiar names. All time sack leader Gabriel Hughes of Los Angeles was at it again, adding a league leading 21 sacks to his all time total. William Bravo of Tazmania also had 21 sacks.

In the defensive backfield, it was Mark Murray of Rapid Valley leading the league with 10 INTs.

On offense, Matthew Romero of Jackson Township led the way on the ground with 1288 rushing yards. San Francisco launched the greatest aerial attack seen in ages with the top two receivers Frank Cherry and Phillip Robinson going for over 1200 yards and 10 and 11 TDs respectively. And passing wise, Max Tucker of San Francisco became the first QB to eclipse 5000 yards since the year 2036, when another SF quarterback, Kenneth Rainey, did it.

But going back to the start of things, there really wasn't much debate regarding the MVP this year. When a team goes 16-0, its QB leads the league in passing TDs with 37 and leads in QB rating with a 115 rating, which is 15 points greater than his nearest competitor, you know he is the MVP. Your 2044 regular season MVP is QB Brandon Collins, Brooklyn!

At Super Bowl XXVIII, we had a hotly contested game between the Wilmington Argonauts and Jackson Township Upsidedown Sicilians, which was started off by a huge kick return by Robert Nash, putting the Argonauts up early. But Jackson Township answered right away with a 41 yard TD pass to Otis Olivares. Olivares would later add a second TD. In a valiant effort, Wilmington QB Kenneth Rainey threw for 3 touchdowns, but also had a killer INT. But down 4 in the fourth, leading a methodical drive down the field and connecting on fourth and goal for the go ahead and Super Bowl winning TD, his 3rd TD of the day, was your Super Bowl MVP, Glen Soileau!

Another season is in the books and it is time to hand out the hardware before the playoffs get into full swing.

On defense, Kembai Shimada of Arkansas had 172 tackles in a season! A huge total!

Speaking of huge totals, Jay McMillian of Jackson Township had a huge number of sacks, 36! That's the second most in a single season ever, just short of the 39 by Eddie Cruise in 2017 at the start of the league.

Eric Wadsworth of Battle Creek was top ball hawk with 10 INTs this year.

On offense, Matthew Romero of Jackson Township chewed up yards on the ground as usual, leading the league with 1523 yards and 10 TDs. Receiving-wise, we had a new name break through - a former runningback - Donald Whipple of Kansas City. In his new team, he led the league with 1729 yards and 14 TDs, even garnering some MVP consideration for his efforts.

However, this season, the MVP was pretty clear. He threw for over 4000 yards. He threw for a league leading 44 TDs, the most passing TDs since 2036! He was the only QB over 100 QB rating at 106. Oh and by the way, his team went UNDEFEATED! Your 2045 regular season MVP is Glen Soileau, Jackson Township, his second MVP win!

Imagine this is your career. You are a quarterback drafted in the 5th round with no guaranteed money on your deal, you make it through pre-season and right before week 1, you are cut. Then, no one signs you and you are unemployed. Do you quit?

Then after a whole year off, you get an offer to join a team as a backup QB, a team that hasn't made the playoffs in a decade, the Bronx. Still, amidst all the losing during your three year deal, you throw a grand total of 4 passes and your contract doesn't get renewed. Do you quit?

Then you get offered a two year deal to ride the pine in Charlotte, as a third string QB, and you watch the team go to the conference championship, without you ever entering a single game, because you were cut in week 11. Do you quit?

Still, you sign on as a backup in Battle Creek for the next three years. Over those three seasons you throw 0 passes because you are backing up the first round pick QB. Then your contract doesn't get renewed. You have not played a regular season game in four years. Do you quit?

But then out of nowhere, you get signed to a top team, the Xtreme, with a chance to replace a hall of famer at QB, but you promptly lose the preseason camp battle. But fate opens a door, and you start a two games finally and get a win, your best success of your whole career: two starts, one win, one loss, 1 TD, 2 INTs. But then, the team trades for a younger, QB of the future and you ride the bench the rest of the season, as your team, with another QB at the helm makes it to round 2 of the playoffs. Next offseason that teams brings in a veteran QB AND drafts a rookie QB. The writing is on the wall, you are released at the end of preseason. Do you quit?

You sit unemployed for weeks 1-9, your career possibly over. Do you quit?

And then... you get a phone call from The Real Kayfabe. They want you to try out. They offer you a low money deal! But again you ride the pine. But one week later, out of nowhere, you are now the starting QB... and you proceed to win 5 out 6 games to boost your team into the playoffs as a wild card team...

And then... you proceed to catch fire in the postseason, tearing it up, throwing 4 TDs in your first post-season game ever. Then winning your second. Then taking down the reigning AFC dynasty with an improbable 4th quarter comeback where you throw 2 TDs including the game winner with 40 seconds left...

And then... in your biggest game ever, your team completely dominates with you leading the way, as you throw for 3 TDs and 397 yards, leading to an easy Super Bowl win over a formerly dominant looking opponent in the KC Wizards. If you never gave up through all that and you had one of the most magical post-season hot stretches ever (10 TDs, 110 QB rating in 2045 playoffs), then you would be Super Bowl MVP quarterback Fred McNair of the The Real Kayfabe.

The 2046 regular season is well behind us, but let's not forget to honor its stars.

On defense, David Cloutier of Portland led the way with 22 sacks. It is hard to believe he was outright released by the Red Dragon just a year ago.

Robert Fernandez of Kleinmachnow led the way in the defense backfield with 9 INTs.

On the ground, there were nine 1000 yard rushers as offenses continue to come back to life. The league leader was Matthew Lewandowski of Terra Haute, with 1402 yards and 12 TDs.

And receiving-wise, we had the return of 1000 yard receivers as well, with seven 1000 yard receivers. Tops among them was Scott Greenleaf of Seattle with over 1600 yards and an eye popping 19 TDs, which put his name into MVP consideration. But as always, MVP comes down to the top QBs.

We finally saw the return of multiple 5000 yard passers, with James Sanmiguel of Portland throwing for over 5100 yards and league leading 44 TDs and Quincy Muncy of Kansas City throwing for league leading 5295 yards. But when it comes to the MVP discussion, winning matters, efficiency matters. One man stood above all others, with 37 TDs vs. 17 INTs, for a QB rating of 108.71, head and shoulders the leader. Oh and his team went 15-1. The fairytale continues as Fred McNair of the Real Kayfabe is your league MVP!
