Hard to disagree with that pick. Ridiculous numbers.

Patrick's still mad at me.

He should be thanking me for making that trade with SF.

The sack leader is a different player from NY for the 3rd season in a row. Must be something in the water.

You should have traded him to Billy for two first round picks when you had the chance!

This has been quite the wild year for Mr. Patrick Spinner. After being robbed of his MVP trophy last season, Spinner was determined to prove the Owen Barrett MVP committee wrong. He played the game of his life against the Bears, securing the victory for a showdown against Owen Barrett himself. Only for the game to be overturned and forced to re-play the game. Another screw you to Spinner, he drank himself into a drunken stupor, and played poorly the rest of the playoffs. Truly a shameful end to his season.

Rumors swirled all offseason. Spinner spotted in a rehab facility, Spinner accused of shoving a fan at a club, Spinner reportedly dating fellow professional worker Kiara Mia. The controversy had gotten to him. His play had slipped, QBs around the league were throwing more touchdowns, having more success, an MVP trophy was looking unlikely.

An intervention was held for Spinner midseason and that was what he needed to turn his season around. He dumped Kiara and enlisted a new motto: "Disregard females, acquire touchdowns". And **** did he do that, not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4, not 5, not 6, not 7...67 touchdowns in the 2nd half.

Well done Spinner and congratulations on the Owen Barrett MVP award.

The Super Bowl had its share of heroes and I'm sure all New York fans are cursing the day Boston set foot on the field, but the Biscuits were triumphant thanks to aggressive coaching and the play of their star QB and Super Bowl MVP Timothy Thompson! Throwing for 555 yards and 5 TDs, Thompson made all the throws. None was bigger, however, than his bomb at the end of the first half. With the first half being close and tense, Boston's decision to not simply sit on the ball and wait for the second half, but to air it out gave Boston the momentum going into the second half which they kept up to eventually steam roll New York. It was as if in that moment, New York's defense was deflated. Meanwhile, Boston's defense shut down #1 WR Davis and limited TE William Marquis.

Back at the start of the league, Thompson was the first QB selected in the dispersal draft. Today, he shows all of Boston and the entire league why he was number one! Congrats to the Super Bowl MVP!

Another season in the books, and the offensive records continue to be a reality in the league. At this rate, who knows what kind of numbers next season will bring. This is beyond any video game and pinball machine analogy, and just amazing. Let's run down this year's individual performers:

On defense, Phillip Turner (NYG) did it again, leading the league in sacks and hurries and establishing himself as the league's number one pass rusher.

Charles Johnson (KC) led the league with 10 INTs.

Scott Cosper (SF) had a 2000 yard rushing season, with 14 TDs, again showing off his skills as the top RB.

Quarterbacks set new highs, once again, making the accomplishments of Brian Teeple and Owen Barrett sound like old news. Christopher Redman (BUF) had a record 8.823 yards passing. Chuck Farr (CLT) had the highest single season QB rating ever at 140.35. And in any other season, Richard Williams throwing for 8500 yards with 82 TDs would have been an easy MVP choice.

But this is no normal season. This season we witnessed something we have never seen before. Complete domination of defenses... by a tight end! Playing out of position, WR William Marquis (NYG) torched opposing defenses for a record 3,379 yards and 36 TDs on 104 catches. For comparison, no NFL receiver has ever eclipsed 2,000 yards. Ronald Agular had 2,666 yards in a season for the Red Dragon one season and that's the closest we have seen. 3000 yards is just too much to fathom. It shows that Richard Williams wasn't doing it all - take away Marquis and his numbers are probably far worse than Farr's. He was the linchpin to the offense. We might not ever see a 3000 yard season ever again, so it was historic. And that is what makes William Marquis, WR, NYG, our 2021 league MVP.

I think the real MVP is the Boston Defense for keeping Marquis to less than 20 yards per catch or CLT for holding him under 100 yards. Just saying.

Well, it was probably the greatest Super Bowl ever played. It featured a game tying two point conversion, a touchdown on the very last play of regulation and an overtime win. Boston didn't have the Anthony Lynn killer instinct to go for 2 and the win at the end of regulation and lost the game, even with home field advantage in the Super Bowl. In near freezing temperatures, the two teams scored a ton, then tightened up and the end when it became a defensive struggle, with neither team moving the ball in overtime at all. But then, a new San Francisco legend emerged. An anonymous hero who will join the ranks of David Tyree and Mike Jones in the annals of Super Bowl history. He was defensive tackle Robert Adams, who had no sacks the whole season, barely any hurries and only one tackle the entire Super Bowl. But in that overtime, the legend of Adams was born as this 300 pound DT, somehow wound up with the game deciding interception! Move over Larry Brown and Dexter Jackson! Adams single handedly won the game for San Francisco. Of course, he might be overlooked due to the amazing performance of Timothy Thompson, throwing 6 TDs in defeat and leading the furious game tying drive and by Patrick Spinner, who played terribly, but made the big plays when it mattered, throwing 4 TDs and racking up 472 yards. Now that Spinner has reached the top of the mountain, he has a legitimate argument that he is the best quarterback in Football Moguls history! And so we will cap his career achievement by naming Patrick Spinner the MVP of the Super Bowl, but the real hero of the game will always be that bumbling old defensive lineman who made the play of a lifetime, Robert Adams.

Congratulations to Spinner and his hellish minions in San Francisco--a worthier competitor cannot be found.

Unrelated, I've fired all my defense (not really), but that's how I feel it should go.

I'm just glad I didn't lose by 100 points this time.

I do feel like the Boston Biscuits have cemented themselves as an AFC dynasty at this point in the Football Moguls. They are the team to beat in the conference, but it could be over as quickly as it started with however events turn out next season (0.44)
