The Super Bowl featured a rematch of last year's contest. Even though the characters were the same, the results were different. Charlotte jumped out to an early lead, thanks to a key interception by Reginald Treat and some great throws by QB Neil Kleinschmidt. The Terror battled back, pulling to within six after a long TD pass from Christopher Hernandez, but this time, Kleinschmidt did not fold under pressure. Instead, he answered the call with an iconic 86 yard touchdown pass to Guilermo Garrett that basically sealed the game. The defense held on and the Charlotte Fire Breathing Duckies won their first Super Bowl. In addition to his critical 86 yard touchdown pass, Kleinschmidt threw for 336 yards and two total TDs, redeeming himself from last year's interception meltdown. Your Super Bowl MVP is QB Neil Kleinschmidt!

The 2030 regular season is over and it's now on to the playoffs, but first we hand out the hardware.

There were strong individual performances worthy of recognition throughout the league. On defense, Alex McLaughlin of South Brisbane was a disruptive force on the D-line, leading the league with 13 sacks to go with 19 hurries.

In the secondary, Eric Rodriguez of Kleinmachnow led the way with 8 INTs and 28 knockdowns.

On the ground, Joshua Ryan of South Brisbane burst onto the scene. In his first year as a starter, he led the league in rushing with 1509 yards, adding 8 TDs, plus he showed off his dual threat ability by hauling in 74 catches for 704 yards.

Speaking of receiving, there was a lot of hype for the Topher "Gopher" Quinlan/Sam Evans combo in Independence and they delivered, with both going over 1000 yards receiving. Kerry Schindler of Wisconsin also had a great year with 1577 receiving yards and 14 TDs.

It was actually a down year for QBs. No QB threw for more than 40 TDs and only 2 threw for over 5000. James Brill of Independence led the way with 39 TD passes. John Spartan of Arkansas still had an amazingly efficient season, completing 75% of his passes while throwing for 38 TDs and over 5300 yards, finishing with a league leading 123.22 QB rating. That would be impressive and almost MVP worthy in any other season.

However, this season, we witnessed pure greatness in action. We saw the greatest rookie season in the history of Football Moguls. No player ever burst on the scene and was so dominant. The numbers speak for themselves. This second round pick nearly doubled the number 2 receiver in yards. 2,923 yards in a season is second most all time in a season. The only player to ever have more receiving yards in a season was William Marquis, whose ridiculous 3379 yard season was thought to be untouchable... until now. Marquis was the only non-QB to ever win the MVP and now with a player so similarly dominant, we cannot now deny him the same honor. The MVP this year is the player who lead the Kleinmachnow Orange Crush to the playoffs on the sheer will of his receiving hands, the guy who survived a QB carousel and still put up numbers every week, the guy who had 407 receiving yards in ONE GAME, and by the way this guy is only a rookie and only getting started. Your 2030 MVP is Jerry Jeudy, WR, Kleinmachnow!

I couldn't have said it better myself Mr. West, you truly are a lyrical wordsmith genius. Marvin Lane had 2,572 yards along with 28 touchdowns. "MVP" Jeudy had 5 fewer touchdowns and only 351 more yards. I didn't realize you valued a few more yards over actually scoring. I guess that explains your battle with relevance since 2019.

But I shouldn't expect any semblance of fairness from the honorable Norm. Time and time again you fail to hide your hate for the Demons. It's 2030 Norm, Tesla stock is $10,000 a share, OrangeCrush somehow sold enough cans to sponsor a football team in Germany and world peace has been achieved. Get with the times.

I have but one demand. Retroactively award Marvin Lane and Patrick Spinner as 2028 Co-MVPs. You have affected the Demons financially, physically, emotionally, and spiritually over your actions and we demand reparations.

Statement from Jerry Jeudy:

If you put out some drama, you better do your homework Mr. Lane

Please explain, how you come up with 2500+ yards this season. Even if you would count all purpose yards (have you ever seen a special teamer win MVP? ), you did not even get to 2000 yards.

Maybe there should be an investigation, how you could get your college degree. You need at least some basic math skills, to finish school

Context is king. If Marvin Lane had those numbers this season, maybe he would have an argument. But as luck would have it, he had his monster season the same year the Terra Haute Terror went 16-0 and when a team puts up a historic season behind monster stats from its QB, it's hard to say anyone else is the real MVP. Sorry Marvin, it is what it is.

This was a protest towards Norm on how he robbed Marvin Lane of the 2028 MVP, not the 2030 MVP. Those numbers I posted were from the 2028 season. I should have made that more clear in my post.

Context me all you want Norm, we both know who the criminal is here. I'd love the see the paper ballots that season that just so happened to burn in a sudden wildfire after the 2028 MVP announcement. I'll bet you had Marvin Lane behind Andrew Martinez (gutsy effort +5 points) and Dennis Lee (rare pass catching TE +10 points). Wear a mask Norm, hide your shame!
